The Amount Of Electrical Power That A Piezoceramic Sheet Can Output ?

The amount of electrical power that a piezoceramic sheet can output depends on several factors. These factors are the size of the sheet, the strain level applied on the sheet, amount of stored electrical energy that will be collected, and the frequency applied on the sheet. The electrical power output of a standard PSI 5A sheet that is stretched to ±500 microstrains using 15 KHz frequency and whose stored electrical energy is collected is about 9 watts. This amount is just in theory. In reality, all the stored electrical energy cannot be collected and the 15 KHz frequency cannot be obtained.

A piezoelectric material can be attached to a solid vertical structure to create a cantilever. When the tip of the bender is exposed to force amounting to 80 grams and frequency amounting to 60 Hz, a voltage amounting to 15 V is produced by the electrical leads of the bender. An electrical power amounting to 2.6 mW is produced when a resistive load amounting to 8 k Ohm is attached to the electrical leads.
