Principles And Advantages Of High Frequency Welding Machine

Principles and advantages of high frequency welding machine

The method of high frequency welding machine (also called high frequency machine) is usually used in various industries. For example, PVC and PU products must be welded with high-frequency machines. Common products made by high-frequency machine welding methods are tarpaulins, tents, ceilings, outdoor advertising banners, water beds, inflatable boats, drip irrigation and blood bags, tensioning structures, conveyor belts, raincoats, etc.

Principle and advantages of high frequency machine

The main principle of high frequency welding machine is to conduct electric heating according to the medium of the material to be welded. Place a piece of material between two metal plates (electrodes), and then connect a high-frequency voltage to the plastic plate. Result: The molecules in the material begin to vibrate, and the molecules are quickly transported to a temperature that generates heat and is heated to melt. When two layers of materials are passed through a high-frequency current and pressed together, the two layers of materials fuse together and form a welded joint that can withstand strong tension.

The advantage of high frequency welding machine is that the welding speed is fast: within a few seconds, the high frequency welding is heated and quickly welded from the inside of the material.

Compare other welding methods (using filament, hot air or infrared radiation) with high-frequency welding machine methods. The heat of other welding methods must be supplemented from the outside. This means that heat must first penetrate into the substance to melt it sufficiently to form a weld. The main risk of this welding method is to burn the top layer of the welding material, that is, it is easy to deform the surface of the welding material.

Certain materials generate more heat than others under high-frequency magnetic fields, so they are more suitable for high-frequency machine welding. This is because the molecules of the material vibrate to some extent due to the high frequency field. This is called the loss factor of the material. The greater the loss factor of the material, the easier it is to weld the material with high-frequency equipment. Thermoplastics that are particularly easy to weld, such as PVC and PU; these materials are specially welded using high-frequency welding machines. Hard plastics such as PE are difficult to weld by high-frequency methods.
