Introduction of commonly used materials for piezoelectric transducers
The most mature and reliable device is the piezoelectric effect that realizes the mutual conversion of electric energy and sound energy, which is called piezoelectric transducer.
The most mature and reliable device is the piezoelectric effect that realizes the mutual conversion of electric energy and sound energy, which is called piezoelectric transducer. The piezoelectric effect converts electrical signals into mechanical vibrations. This kind of transducer has high electro-acoustic conversion efficiency, cheap raw materials, convenient production, and is not easy to age.
Commonly used materials are quartz crystal, barium titanate and lead zirconate titanate.
1. The amount of expansion and contraction of the quartz crystal is too small, and the voltage of 3000V will only produce a deformation below 0.01um.
2. The piezoelectric effect of barium titanate is 20-30 times larger than that of quartz crystal, but its efficiency and mechanical strength are not as good as quartz crystal.
3. Lead zirconate titanate has the advantages of both and can be used as a transducer for ultrasonic cleaning, flaw detection and low-power ultrasonic processing.
Piezoelectric transducers are widely used. According to the application industries, they are divided into industry, agriculture, transportation, life, medical treatment and military. According to the realized function, it is divided into ultrasonic processing, ultrasonic cleaning, ultrasonic detection and ultrasonic atomization.
