1. Polystyrene has light specific gravity, strong corrosion resistance to water and chemicals, good stability and insulation, and is often used in the manufacture of toys, decorations, lenses, floating wheels, etc. Due to its high elastic coefficient, it is more suitable for ultrasonic plastic welding.
2. Acrylic, high hardness, heavy impact resistance, good acid resistance, good light transmittance and good coloring. It is often used in automobile taillights, turn signals, and watch plates. When using ultrasonic welding, attention must be paid to the problem of brightness.
3. Acrylonitrile butadiene (abs), light weight, good bremsstrahlung, rigidity and chemical resistance, good thermal conductivity, wide range of applications, suitable for ultrasonic plastic welding.
4. Reinforced polystyrene is an ester-acid woven material. The material is easy to change and discolor during ultrasonic welding, and the contact surface is not easy to absorb energy. Ultrasonic welding is more difficult.
5. Polypropylene (pp), this material has light specific gravity, good insulation, high strength, strong heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Generally used in toys, luggage, music shells, electrical insulation, food packaging, etc. Due to the low elastic coefficient, it is easy to attenuate the sound wave vibration and it is difficult to weld.
6. Heavy impact polystyrene, high tensile and pressure resistance, good abrasion resistance, strong bristles and strength. In ultrasonic welding, high vibration amplitude and long welding time are required.
