Common problems of ultrasonic welding machine

There are often some errors in the use of ultrasonic welding machines. We will summarize them today to let everyone know what we need to pay attention to in operation in the future.

1. When using an ultrasonic plastic welding machine, some softer or harder plastic parts are usually selected. But in fact, the filler can absorb ultrasonic waves, resulting in poor welding effect, thereby reducing the welding effect of the product. Generally speaking, the more soft fillers, the greater the adverse effect on welding. .

2. It is also incorrect to use different plastic parts to work together, which will lead to difficulty in welding, or even impossible to weld. When selecting weldments, care should be taken to select materials with similar shrinkage and melting temperatures.

3. Plastic parts that have used mold release agents are not suitable for ultrasonic plastic welding, because the principle of ultrasonic welding is friction heat generation, and mold release agents will hinder friction heat generation.

4. When choosing a working environment, the ultrasonic welding machine is not suitable for working in a humid environment, because the water attached to the surface of the plastic part will affect the welding of the plastic part, and some plastics are very sensitive to water. In addition, the same is true for oil pollution.

Summary of common problems of ultrasonic plastic welding machine:

1. The design of the welding surface is easily overlooked. When the welding requirement is a sealing surface or a high-strength bonding surface, the design requirements for the welding surface are very high. If the welding seam is not suitable, there will be phenomena such as sol outflow, welding surface deviation or rubber parts fracture.

2. When using non-thermoplastic fillers, care should be taken to control the amount. If too much filler is used, plastic parts may encounter difficulties when welding. Generally speaking, when the filler content exceeds 30%, it is not suitable for welding.

3. When injection molding, be careful not to mold multiple sets of workpieces or multiple sets of molds at once, because the volume of the workpieces will cause instability of the welding effect, such as inconsistent welding strength, and flower marks on the workpiece.

4. During the welding process, if the welding mold is improperly fixed or the welding mold is in contact with the lower mold or other work objects, it is generally caused by the dislocation of the upper and lower welding molds or the fracture of the mold connecting screws.
